How can the library help me create a Data Management and Sharing Plan?

Answer

The library offers a range of services to help you create a Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) for your research or grant proposal. Contact the library’s Data, Publishing, and Digital Scholarship (DPDS) department at libdpds@uci.edu for help with the following:

  • Consultation: We can meet with you one-on-one to discuss best practices, funder requirements, and answer specific questions about your data management needs.
  • Review and feedback: We can review draft plans and provide feedback to ensure your plan meets funder requirements.
  • DMPTool: The DMPTool is a self-service, online resource that streamlines the process of creating funder-compliant plans and offers templates tailored to specific agencies. We can provide training and support for using the DMPTool.
